Astronomy buddy Andreas with his new 11" CPC1100 next to my 8" LX200.  The views through the 11" Celestron were stunning.  It started me thinking about a larger socpe myself. Then I went to this star party and the rest is history: Cherry Springs Star Pary 2007

My re-introduction to astronomy.   A Meade 3.5" ETX-90 computerized goto purchased in May 2003.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My first scope was a refractor I acquired as a cash loan to a co-worker when I was 20 years old but I don't know what happened to it.  It was my introduction to the movement of the cosmos as I was always chasing the moon.
One year later I upgraded to this Meade 8"
LX200 GPS.  It is a computerized Go-to also.
One year later I added a 3.1" Orion 80ED refractor.  I use this setup for imaging.
Two years later I added a 25" Obsession Dobsonian reflector.
I decided that I wanted to see the bright stuff.

Andreas and I looking at Saturn at Historic St. Mary's City Museum
Purchased a used 12" Antares tube dob ($300) for quick views when I did not want to set up the 25" Obsession.  It is sitting on a furniture moving dolly (came with the scope) for easy movement in and out of the garage. Even with some scuffing on the mirror it has nice views.
